Michael R. Pope is a retired U.S. Department of Homeland Security Public Affairs Multi-Media Producer and a retired U.S. Air Force Public Affairs Superintendent. His works cover a wide range of journalism and public affairs projects for various U.S. government communications agencies in the U.S. and abroad including:  extensive coverage of the 9-11 attacks on NYC, Hurricane Katrina, Southwest Border immigration and US Trade issues. His commercial news experiences placed him in many on-camera reporter and spokesperson rolls broadcasting on television, radio, and You Tube. He has a Masters in Communications from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. The son of a 40-year retired U.S. State Department diplomatic journalist, he is a Washington D.C. native, a lifelong drummer, volleyball player and coach.  His many experiences in life over the years and his vast communications background have led him to pursue fiction writing in this next chapter of his life.
